This is a fruit which has variety of tastes according to the area where it is grown. The quince which is generally consumed during the winter months can be sweet, sour, soft or firm. It can be grown almost all areas on the height of 1 to 1000 metres. It has a superficial root system which does not go deep. Turkey is at the first rank of producing quince around the world.
